Public Space Operations branch is a service delivery, customer focused and commercially driven business that prides itself on keeping Brisbane's streets and public spaces clean, green and safe for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Business Support Officer to join our Public Space Operations team.
In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative and business support, coordinate and prepare customer correspondence, and help deliver timely, accurate and professional responses to a diverse range of enquiries.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will build strong relationships with stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to delivering exceptional customer service and business support outcomes.
Reporting to the Business Support Coordinator, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys collaboration, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a agile team environment.
To be successful you will:
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality correspondence and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
Be highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities while delivering outcomes within tight timeframes
Enjoy working collaboratively and contribute positively to a supportive, high-performing team environment
Demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, and a solutions-focused approach when responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues
Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when preparing documents, managing records, and coordinating business support activities
Be proactive, reliable, and customer-focused, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring quality outcomes are delivered on time.
