Our Client is a growing Australian technology company building operational software for the mining, engineering and heavy industry sectors.

They're looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, security and reliability.
n

Candidates on a visa will not be considered

Location: Melbourne preferred | Remote anywhere in Australia
n
Working: 3 days/week at 696 Bourke St, Melbourne, or fully remote
n
What you'll be doing
n
n
Manage and improve AWS cloud infrastructure
n
Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
n
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
n
Identify opportunities to optimise AWS costs
n
Strengthen cloud security and support ISO ***** initiatives
n
Manage containerised workloads using Docker and AWS ECS
n
Own monitoring, alerting and incident response
n
Automate repetitive processes and improve developer workflows
n
Work closely with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams
n
Support the development team with day-to-day infrastructure requirements
n
n
What we're looking for
n
n
Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments
n
Proven Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience
n
A proactive approach to cloud cost optimisation and security
n




Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
n
Strong scripting skills — Python, Bash or similar
n
Experience with Docker and ECS
n
Someone who takes ownership and proactively solves problems
n
A positive, team-oriented approach to working within a small team
n

Exposure to Ruby on Rails
n
Experience supporting enterprise customers
n
Experience working within a distributed engineering team

The role reports to the Engineering Manager, with a secondary reporting line to the Product Delivery Lead.
