Job Description
An established Australian organisation operating within the Aged Care and Healthcare staffing sector is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team.
n
This is a hands-on executive opportunity for a commercially focused finance leader who can provide strategic financial direction while maintaining strong oversight of the organisation's financial and operational performance.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the CFO will have overall responsibility for the financial leadership, governance and commercial performance of the business, while leading the Finance and IT functions.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
Providing strategic financial advice and commercial insights to the Managing Director and Executive Team.
n
Leading the Finance and IT functions and developing a high-performing team.
n
Managing cash flow, treasury, banking and working capital requirements.
n
Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, P&L;, month-end and executive/Board reporting.
n
Maintaining strong governance across payroll, superannuation, payroll tax and financial controls.
n
Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and debt collection performance.
n
Ensuring compliance with BAS, WorkCover, labour hire licensing and other regulatory obligations.
n
Managing key banking, vendor and external stakeholder relationships.
n
Driving continuous improvement across financial systems, processes, controls and business performance.

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
Senior finance leadership experience preferably within aged care, healthcare, healthcare staffing or a closely related environment.
n
Strong hands-on experience with Xero or a comparable accounting platform, together with advanced Excel capability.
n
Experience with Entire workforce management software (Entire OnHire) or a comparable workforce
management/platform
system, will be highly regarded.
n
Strong expertise across cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and payroll governance.
n
Sound knowledge and understanding of Modern Awards, Australian payroll compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
n
Proven ability to lead teams, partner with senior executives and influence commercial decision-making.
n
Robust commercial judgement, stakeholder management skills and a high level of professional discretion.

This is an opportunity to take on a broad and influential CFO role, working directly with the Managing Director and Executive Team and playing a key role in the financial and operational direction of the business.

This is a full-time, office-based position at the organisation's Melbourne Head Office and is not a hybrid or remote role.
