About the Role
n
As Assistant Store Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager to support the day-to-day operation of the store, lead and support the team and deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.
n
This is a hands-on retail leadership position where you will be actively involved on the shop floor while also helping drive sales, maintain high store standards and support the overall performance of the store.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the store
n
Leading and supporting the team and taking responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is absent
n
Delivering friendly, knowledgeable and professional customer service
n
Coaching and supporting team members to achieve sales and customer service goals
n
Helping drive sales performance and achieve store targets
n
Providing footwear fitting and sizing advice
n




Assisting customers with sporting equipment, footwear and apparel across a range of sporting categories
n
Recommending products that best meet customers' needs
n
Processing sales transactions accurately through the point of sale system
n
Assisting with stock control, replenishment, merchandising and ticketing
n
Maintaining high standards of store presentation
n
Supporting catalogue launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns
n
Assisting with online order fulfilment and Click & Collect orders
n
Assisting with store opening and closing procedures
n
Working collaboratively with the Store Manager and team to create a positive and high-performing store environment
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role you will:
n
n
Have previous retail experience, ideally within a senior sales, supervisory or retail leadership position
n
Enjoy leading, supporting and motivating a team
n
Have a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service
n
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Be organised and confident managing multiple priorities in a busy retail environment
n
Be reliable, motivated and have a strong work ethic
n
Be comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions when required
n
Have an interest in sport and an active lifestyle, which will be highly regarded
n
Be available to work across a retail roster, including weekends as required
n
