Our Client
is a growing Australian technology company building operational software for the mining, engineering and heavy industry sectors.
They're looking for a
hands-on DevOps Engineer
to take ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, security and reliability.
Only considering Australian Citizens, PR of Australia & New Zealand Citizens
Candidates on a visa will not be considered
Location: Melbourne preferred | Remote anywhere in Australia
Working: 3 days/week at 696 Bourke St, Melbourne, or fully remote
What you'll be doing
Manage and improve
AWS cloud infrastructure
Build and maintain infrastructure using
Terraform
Develop and maintain
CI/CD pipelines
Identify opportunities to optimise
AWS costs
Strengthen cloud
security
and support ISO ***** initiatives
Manage containerised workloads using
Docker and AWS ECS
Own monitoring, alerting and incident response
Automate repetitive processes and improve developer workflows
Work closely with Engineering, Product and Delivery teams
Support the development team with day-to-day infrastructure requirements
What we're looking for
Robust hands-on
AWS experience
in production environments
Proven
Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
experience
A proactive approach to
cloud cost optimisation and security




Experience building and maintaining
CI/CD pipelines
Strong scripting skills —
Python, Bash or similar
Experience with
Docker and ECS
Someone who takes ownership and proactively solves problems
A positive, collaborative approach to working within a small team
Nice to have
Infrastructure/application monitoring and logging experience
Exposure to
Ruby on Rails
Experience supporting enterprise customers
Experience working within a distributed engineering team
The team
You'll be joining a technology team of:
1 Product Manager
1 Product Delivery Lead
The role reports to the
Engineering Manager
, with a secondary reporting line to the Product Delivery Lead.
