About the Role
As the Workforce Operations Manager, you will lead the coordination, performance and optimisation of Lumia Care's workforce operations, ensuring workforce supply aligns with service demand across aged care, disability and healthcare programs.
Reporting into the Operations Manager Care Services, you will oversee a team of 3 direct reports and approximately 30 FTE, while providing operational oversight of a workforce of around 3,000 casual care employees delivering services each week throughout Australia.
You'll bring together recruitment, workforce coordination, scheduling, call centre and shared services functions to create a highly responsive, compliant and high-performing workforce operation that supports quality service delivery nationwide.
Translate workforce strategy into operational workforce plans.




Forecast workforce demand and identify workforce risks and opportunities.
Provide workforce insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Support organisational growth through workforce planning initiatives.
Workforce Operations & Recruitment
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and deployment activities.
Ensure workforce pipelines support current and future service needs.
Monitor workforce availability, vacancies, and utilisation.
Drive improvements in recruitment efficiency and workforce readiness.
Scheduling & Workforce Coordination
Oversee workforce allocation and scheduling practices.
Ensure optimal workforce coverage across service streams.
Lead workforce coordination and workforce support functions.
Manage workforce-related operational escalations.
Shared Services Leadership
Lead workforce liaison, coordination and central support teams.
Improve workflows, service responsiveness, and stakeholder experience.
Build robust partnerships with operational leaders across the business.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure workforce compliance across aged care, disability and healthcare services.
Maintain oversight of screening, credentialing, and audit readiness.
Identify and mitigate workforce-related risks.
Support governance, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
