Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our operations team at Melbourne Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure efficient operations across our facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, precision in data management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport workplace.
Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems and software
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization
Generate detailed inventory reports and present findings to management and relevant stakeholders
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure proper stock placement and accessibility
Investigate and resolve inventory variances, working with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and company policies
Qualifications




Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, or related supply chain roles
Proficiency with inventory management systems and warehouse management software
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience with inventory reconciliation and cycle counting procedures
Solid communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments
Bachelor's degree in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or Transportation - desirable
Preferred experience in airport operations, logistics, or fast-paced warehouse environments with knowledge of supply chain management principles
