As Security Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing NIOA's security framework, security clearance processes, regulatory compliance obligations and physical security systems. You will work closely with Defence, the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency, Defence Industry Security Program and internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements are effectively embedded across the business.
What you'll do
Managing NIOA's security programs, policies and compliance frameworks
Processing and administering AGSVA security clearances and personnel vetting requirements
Performing Security Officer responsibilities under the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP)
Developing, reviewing and maintaining security policies, procedures, manuals and work instructions
Conducting security risk assessments and supporting security investigations
Managing security incidents, non-conformances and remediation activities
Maintaining security registers, access control systems, CCTV networks and facility security arrangements
Providing security advice and briefings to employees and leaders
Supporting onboarding, offboarding and personnel security governance activities
Producing compliance reporting, maintaining accurate documentation and supporting audit activities
Qualifications
Significant experience working within the Defence sector
Demonstrated experience managing AGSVA security clearances, personnel vetting or related security clearance processes
Strong working knowledge of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and Defence security requirements
Experience developing and maintaining security documentation, procedures and compliance records
Strong administrative,
governance and record management skillsExperience supporting security risk management, investigations or compliance activities
Advanced attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Strong written communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working as a Security Manager, DISP Security Officer, Company Security Officer (CSO), Facility Security Officer or Defence Security Specialist
Certificate IV in Government Security or similar qualification
