Talent Right is proud to partner with Concept Materials to recruit an experienced, hands‐on Warehouse Supervisor to take ownership of their Canning Vale warehouse operation.
Despite the title, this is not a step back from the floor. You are on the tools every day, and you are also the person ultimately answerable for what leaves the building. If you are looking to run a crew rather than do the work yourself, this is not the role.
About Concept Materials: Concept Materials is the decking and materials division of Concept Products, supplying premium decking products and associated materials to builders, landscapers, resellers, and trade customers across Australia.
Known for quality products and reliable service, the business has built a strong reputation in the building materials industry. The Canning Vale warehouse handles decking in long and heavy lengths, alongside samples, accessories, and packing materials. What leaves the warehouse is what the customer judges the business on.
About the Role: Reporting to the Operations & Systems Coordinator, you will run the day‐to‐day operation of the Concept Materials warehouse.
The hands‐on work is the job: picking, packing, driving the forklift, loading trucks, and handling long and heavy boards. What sits over the top of it is the accountability for stock accuracy, correct colourways, and professionally packed orders and supervising one other member of the team.
You will be given daily priorities and deadlines, then manage your workload from there. Nobody will be sequencing your day for you, when something urgent lands, a damaged board needing replacing or a customer issue that has to be sorted today, you will be expected to reprioritise and get it done.
Most importantly,

Concept Materials wants someone who sees what needs doing and does it, rather than waiting to be told.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Dispatch
Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately against purchase orders
Check product type, colourway, and quantity before every dispatch
Ensure orders are professionally packed, labelled, staged, and protected from damage in line with Concept Materials and reseller guidelines
Pack and dispatch product samples daily, keeping sample and packing material supplies stocked
Operate a forklift safely, loading and unloading trucks and handling materials up to 5.4 metres
Stock Control & Accuracy
Manage stock control, storage, layout, and labelling across the warehouse
Complete regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies
Receive and check incoming stock for quantity, condition, and discrepancies
Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages, damage, delays, and upcoming requirements early
Ownership & Improvement
Use AroFlo to maintain visibility of orders and daily warehouse tasks
Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement practical improvements to storage, handling, and packing
Provide direction and delegate to one additional warehouse employee when required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse
About You
Previous warehouse, stores,

or materials handling experience
Current forklift licence (essential)
Experience handling long and heavy materials, including lengths up to 5.4 metres
Experience loading trucks and running pick, pack, and dispatch
Solid stock control and genuine attention to detail
Able to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and hit deadlines
Basic computer literacy, including email and inventory systems
Practical, proactive, and solutions-focused, with real pride in accuracy and presentation
This role works in close partnership with the Operations & Systems Coordinator. You will be problem‐solving together regularly, so you need to bring your own warehouse expertise to the table, take feedback constructively, and speak up early when something is not going to work.
Experience in building materials, timber, decking, cladding, construction supplies, aluminium, steel, or other long‐length product environments will be highly regarded. AroFlo experience is a bonus rather than a requirement.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active role involving regular manual handling, lifting, carrying, wrapping, and moving building materials, including oversized lengths, throughout the day.
What's on Offer
Competitive salary plus superannuation
Stable full-time employment with no weekend work
Training provided on AroFlo and Concept Materials systems and processes
Genuine ownership of the warehouse operation, with the autonomy to run it properly
Work with premium building materials in a growing business
A small team where your work is visible and your judgement is trusted
