Duties will include
n

Assist veterinary nurses and veterinarians as required
n
Monitor and care for hospitalized patients (under the guidance of the ECC team)
n
Administer medications as directed by the ECC team
n
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of hospital facilities
n
Handle and restrain animals with care and compassion
n
Animal cage cleaning and re-setting, cleaning patient bowls etc.
n
Walking,
feeding and offering water to patients under nurse instruction
n
Restocking disposables (needles, syringes etc) and pharmacy (medication)
n
Maintaining cleanliness of hospital areas throughout the day/evening as required, including floors in treatment, ICU and ward spaces
n
Daily laundry upkeep

About you
n
n
Completed or currently enrolled in Cert IV in Vet Nursing, Associate Degree of Vet Nursing or Bachelor's Degree of Vet Nursing
n
Previous experience in the animal care industry highly desirable
n
Adaptable and enthusiastic
n
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
n
Ability to handle animals with gentleness and confidence
