Job Description

Responsibilities
n
n
Design, build and maintain advanced Power BIreports and dashboards that give Total Synergy customers real clarity over their data.
n
Get hands-on with DAX, writing advanced measures and calculations — from time intelligence to calculated tables.
n
Shape robust, well-structured data models(think star schema) that keep reports accurate and fast.
n
Write and optimise complex SQL queries and build and maintain the views that power our reporting.
n
Own database and ETL platform administration tasks like configuring new workflows, optimising database performance through indexing, and deploying new customer databases.
n
Partner directly with clients — understanding their requirements, troubleshooting issues, and presenting solutions that land.
n
Bring your problem-solvinginstincts to bear on complex data challenges, thinking outside the box to find the best answer.
n
Collaborate with the team and wider business, sharing knowledge and helping us all get better at what we do.
n
Spot opportunities to use AI toolsto work smarter — in Power BI, in SQL, and in your day-to-day.

Qualifications/ Experience
n
What you need to succeed
n
n
5+ years' experience developing advanced Power BI reporting solutions.
n
Advanced DAXskills — you write complex measures and know how to optimise for performance.
n
Strong data
modellingexperience,
with a solid grasp of star schema design and best practice.
n
Advanced SQLskills — from writing and optimising complex queries to developing views and handling database administration.
n
Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions with confidence.
n
Sharp problem-solving instincts and the creativity to find answers to complex data challenges.
n
Robust communication skills and the ability to thrive as part of a small, distributed team.
n
n
Nice to have
n
n
Experience with third-party Power BI tools such as Tabular Editorand DAX Studio.
n
Agenuine interest in using AI tools to sharpen your Power BI/SQL work and everyday productivity.
n
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300)or similar certification.
n
