Weare seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the Local Organising Committee.
n
About the Role
n
Reporting to the GM Finance, youwillbe responsible forfinancial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, compliance activities,
andprovidingvaluable
financial insights to support tournament delivery. In particular you will :
n
n
Prepare monthly financial and management reports
n
Manage reconciliations, journals, fixedassetsand financial records
n
Support
budgeting,forecastingand
cash flow analysis
n
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST, BAS, FBT and audit requirements
n
Contribute to process improvements and financial controls
n
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support successful tournament delivery
n
n
About You
n
Skills & Experience Required
n
n
Bachelor's degree in
accounting,financeor
related discipline
n
Minimum 2 years' accounting or finance experience
n
Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
n
Intermediate to advanced Excel capability
n
High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
Experience with Xero andCalxa
n
Experience in sport, events, or not-for-profit organisations
n
n

This is a full-time role, based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September ****. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of LOC HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time.
