Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport is currently seeking a casual kitchen steward to join our busy evening kitchen team.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment
Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen
Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing
Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes
What we need from you:
Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or cleaning experience
Experience working in a busy kitchen environment and working to deadlines
Versatile- available to work 3-4 evenings per week casually when needed
Strong - be able to lift, push and pull incoming orders up to 23kg
Willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team
