About the Role
Due to a recent secondment, we're seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Oncology team at Icon Cancer Centre South Brisbane, located within the Mater precinct.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you'll deliver exceptional, personalised cancer care to patients and their families in a energetic and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver expert oncology nursing care in line with professional standards and legislation
Administer medications and intravenous infusions
Opportunity to train and provide apheresis services
Conduct patient assessments, education, and manage treatment-related side effects
Insert and maintain peripheral and central access devices
Assist with procedures and provide pre- and post-care education
Maintain accurate patient records (written and electronic)
Offer emotional support to patients and families
Contribute to daily operations and foster a high-performance, patient-centric culture
About You
You'll bring a positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.




Experience in IV cannulation and knowledge of chemotherapy and supportive therapies is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current AHPRA registration
Day Oncology experience highly regarded
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience in high-acuity settings
