Site Controller - Willoughby Leisure Centre (Temporary Contract) Location: Willoughby Leisure Centre Contract: Temporary | Immediate Start Willoughby City Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Controller to support the operational readiness phase of the newly redeveloped Willoughby Leisure Centre.
This is a hands-on, site-based role responsible for coordinating contractors, managing site access, overseeing safety requirements, and ensuring the facility remains secure and operational as the project transitions into a fully functioning community asset.
About the Role As the Site Controller, you will be the key point of contact on site, working closely with Council staff, contractors, suppliers, and the Leisure Centre operational team to ensure daily activities run safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include: Managing day-to-day site access and security.
Coordinating contractor movements and site inductions.
Monitoring compliance with WHS requirements and site safety procedures.
Conducting routine site inspections and hazard identification.
Maintaining daily site logs and attendance records.
Coordinating deliveries and site logistics.
Acting as the primary on-site contact for operational matters.
Supporting emergency response procedures and site evacuations when required.
Opening and closing the facility and ensuring the site remains secure.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:



Previous experience in site supervision, facilities management, construction, operations, or a similar site-based coordination role.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
Experience managing contractors and multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The ability to work independently and make practical operational decisions.
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
Confidence dealing with safety, access, and operational issues as they arise.
Desirable Current First Aid and CPR certification.
White Card.
WHS training or relevant site safety experience.
Experience within leisure centres, aquatic facilities, community venues, or public infrastructure projects.
