Automation Technician – Leading Food Manufacturing Business Location: Corowa, NSW Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Industry: Food Manufacturing / FMCG Shift: Dayshift The OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Automation Technician to join a leading food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in keeping highly automated production lines running safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with the maintenance, engineering and production teams to troubleshoot automation issues, minimise downtime and drive continuous improvement across the site.
The RoleYour responsibilities will include: Troubleshooting and fault-finding PLC, automation and control systems Diagnosing electrical and instrumentation faults across automated production equipment Supporting production teams with breakdowns and automation-related issues Programming and modifying PLCs, HMIs and control systems Working with sensors, VSDs, servos, robotics and automated machinery Preventative and corrective maintenance of automation equipment Identifying opportunities to improve machine reliability and reduce downtime Assisting with commissioning,



upgrades and installation of new equipment Working with engineering and maintenance teams on continuous improvement projects Maintaining accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work is completed safely and to site standards About You We are looking for someone with: NSW Electrical License Relevant electrical, automation, mechatronics or engineering qualification Previous experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or process environment Robust PLC troubleshooting and programming experience Experience with HMIs, VSDs, sensors and industrial control systems Strong electrical fault-finding capability Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and reliability Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a production environment Why Join?
