Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Tiler to join their team on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of tiling and flooring-related works across residential and commercial projects while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Examining plans, specifications and work areas to determine tiling requirements.
Measuring and marking surfaces to accurately lay out tiles.
Preparing wall and floor surfaces prior to installation, including cleaning, levelling and removing existing materials where required.
Applying adhesives, cement, mortar and other bonding materials.
Cutting, shaping and positioning tiles to fit around edges, corners, fittings and other obstacles.
Laying ceramic, porcelain and other tiles in accordance with plans and specifications.
Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned, levelled and spaced.
Applying grout and finishing tiled surfaces to a high professional standard.
Undertaking tile removal, floor grinding and general surface preparation where required.
Identifying and rectifying defects or uneven surfaces before installation.
Using hand tools, power tools and tiling equipment safely and effectively.
Calculating material requirements and minimising unnecessary waste.
Maintaining a clean, organised and secure work environment.




Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Working independently and as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
Skills Experience To be considered for this position, applicants should have: At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Tiler or in a closely related position.
A relevant trade qualification in wall and floor tiling or a related field .
Demonstrated practical knowledge of surface preparation, tile installation, cutting, grouting and finishing.
Ability to interpret plans, measurements and job specifications.
Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
Ability to use relevant tiling tools and equipment safely.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong time-management and organisational skills.
A commitment to workplace health and safety.
Current Australian driver's licence is desirable.
