About the Business MK KY Painting Services Pty Ltd is an established Sydney painting and construction- services business delivering residential and related painting works for builders, developers and private clients.
Our operating model involves coordinating a substantial network of painting subcontractors across multiple projects throughout Sydney and NSW.
As the volume and complexity of our contractor, project and operational workflows have increased, we are seeking an experienced Operations Procedures Specialist to analyse and improve our business processes, procedures and operating systems.
About the Role This role is focused on analysing how work moves through the business and developing practical improvements to efficiency, consistency, cost control and service delivery.
You will review workflows across: • project intake; • quotations; • subcontractor allocation; • scheduling; • procurement; • project delivery; • variations; • quality issues; • contractor payments; • tenders; • customer handovers; and • completion processes.
You will prepare and implement improved SOPs and procedures, analyse operational performance, recommend process improvements and assist management with introducing appropriate workflow and automation tools.
Key Responsibilities • Analyse existing operational methods, workflows and procedures.
• Prepare workflow maps and identify bottlenecks, duplicated work and control weaknesses.
• Develop and revise SOPs, procedures, checklists and operational documentation.
• Review subcontractor onboarding, allocation, communication, performance and payment processes.
• Develop contractor and operational KPIs and reporting.
• Analyse operational costs, delays, rework,



defects and workflow performance.
• Review and improve procurement and supplier-evaluation procedures.
• Improve tender, quotation and bidding workflows.
• Analyse customer-enquiry, quotation and sales-handover procedures.
• Evaluate appropriate digital and AI-enabled workflow tools.
• Assist with implementation of approved process improvements.
• Monitor compliance with revised procedures and recommend ongoing improvements.
Essential Requirements • Bachelor degree or higher in Business Management, Engineering Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, International Business/Trade or a closely related discipline.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience in operations, project coordination, business-process improvement, supply-chain/service-provider operations or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience developing or improving SOPs and operational procedures.
• Experience analysing workflows, operational information and KPIs.
• Robust stakeholder and service-provider coordination skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and written communication skills.
• Professional English communication skills.
Highly Regarded • Experience in construction, trade services, contractor-based operations, logistics or supply chain.
• Contractor/service-provider onboarding and performance-management experience.
• Procurement, supplier, quotation or tender-process experience.
• Continuous-improvement experience.
• Familiarity with workflow automation or AI-enabled business tools.
• Mandarin language capability, given regular operational communication with Mandarin-speaking subcontractors.
