The Position We are seeking a passionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our energetic Surgical Ward at St John of God Bendigo Hospital on a permanent full-time basis .

Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centred nursing care to patients throughout their surgical journey.
Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans.
Deliver safe and effective pre- and post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, medication administration and clinical monitoring.
Recognise and respond to changes in patients' clinical condition, escalating care appropriately when required.




Work collaboratively with surgeons, medical staff, allied health and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment, recovery, medications and discharge requirements.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and provide clear, timely clinical handover.
Contribute to safe and effective discharge planning and continuity of care.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention and control and clinical safety.
Contribute to a positive team culture and exceptional patient experience.
To succeed in this role, you will have well-developed clinical assessment, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide safe, compassionate and patient-centred care in a busy hospital environment.
You will demonstrate sound clinical judgement, solid prioritisation and problem-solving skills, together with a commitment to teamwork, clinical excellence and delivering a positive patient experience.
You will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, along with recent clinical experience in an acute care, surgical or relevant healthcare environment.
Previous surgical nursing experience will be highly regarded; however,



we are also interested in Registered Nurses with strong acute clinical skills who are looking to develop their career within surgical nursing.

The Benefits: Salary: $85,480 - $107,881 (pro date for part time), plus12% superannuation Permanent full time position.
