Help shape the future of sport, recreation and community wellbeing in Georges River.
About the Role As the Sport Recreation Officer, you will help deliver projects, programs and facility initiatives that enhance participation, wellbeing and access to quality sport and recreation infrastructure across the Georges River community.
Working collaboratively with sporting clubs, community organisations, government agencies and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to strategic planning, facility activation, grant funding and community-focused project delivery.
Key responsibilities: Coordinate the delivery of sport and recreation projects and initiatives, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
Contribute to strategic planning projects, including Sport and Recreation Strategies, Open Space Plans and Facility Master Plans.
Build and maintain effective partnerships with sporting clubs, schools, community groups and government agencies.
Identify funding opportunities and prepare grant applications and associated reporting.
Support the activation and utilisation of sportsgrounds, recreation facilities and community programs.
Prepare reports, presentations and project updates to support informed decision-making.
What We Are Looking For We're seeking a motivated and community-focused professional who can build strong relationships and deliver positive outcomes through sport and recreation.
To be successful, you will have: Experience delivering projects within sport, recreation, community infrastructure or a related field.
Knowledge of sport and recreation planning, facility activation and community engagement principles.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.




Experience preparing grant applications and managing funding requirements.
Well-developed analytical, organisational and communication skills.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
Current Class C Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
What We Offer Salary from $87,****** to $101,****** gross per annum, plus 12% superannuation, dependent on skills, qualifications and experience.
