The Company A highly successful and growing Mining Services business based in Perth's Eastern suburbs, is looking to appoint a confident and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join the team initially on a 3 month contract with a view to permanency.
This is a fantastic newly created opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a collaborative and rapid-paced business where you'll be involved in a variety of accounting activities across group entities.
The role offers plenty of scope for ownership, process improvement, and team management.
The Role As the Financial Controller with 5 direct reports, you'll be responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting across the group.
You'll manage key month-end processes, maintain intercompany accounts, and ensure the smooth operation of fixed asset accounting and capital tracking.
You'll also play a key part in developing and documenting internal procedures, helping to drive operational efficiency and strong financial governance.
Key Duties Will Include: Lead month-end processes, including project profitability analysis Ensure financial reporting is in line with AASB/IFRS and taxation standards Prepare and publish weekly, monthly,



and quarterly financial reports Use and implement ERP systems for financial operations Maintain controls to ensure data accuracy and fraud prevention Collaborate with the General Manager and operational leaders to support decision-making Deliver ad hoc analysis and executive-level presentations as required Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects Contribute to a high-performance, values-driven team culture About You: A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar financial or leadership accounting role Strong knowledge of month-end processes and Balance Sheet reconciliations Exposure to external audits and an understanding of group reporting structures Previous experience within manufacturing, wholesale, or mining industries is highly desired.
Fully qualified (CA/CPA) is essential.
