We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Cairns team, specialising in data center projects.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile developments across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, contributing to technically excellent and resilient electrical design solutions within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
You will play a key role in the delivery of projects, working closely with clients, project leaders, and technical specialists, while continuing to develop your technical depth and project leadership capability.
The Opportunity Deliver electrical designs for data centre projects, including power distribution, lighting, earthing, and communications systems Undertake detailed design, coordination, and documentation in line with relevant standards and client requirements Support project leaders in managing scope, programme, quality, and technical risk Engage with clients and stakeholders, contributing to technical discussions and design development Apply innovative and sustainable design thinking to support reliable, productive, and future-ready data centre solutions Is this role right for you?
Recognised tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline Solid experience in electrical engineering within a consulting environment,
ideally with exposure to data centre or mission-critical facilities Strong technical capability in the design and delivery of complex electrical systems Experience working on multidisciplinary projects and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Proficiency with industry-standard electrical engineering software and design tools What we offer you At Arup, we care about each member's success so we can grow together.
