About the Role
We're looking for motivated and patient-focused Operating Theatre Technicians to join our theatre teams in a casual capacity across Monash Health.
The Theatre Technician plays an essential role in supporting both surgical and nursing teams by ensuring all required equipment is available,functionaland safely prepared for each procedure.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will helpfacilitatethe safe and efficient movement of patients throughout their perioperative journey.
As part of our perioperative workforce, you will:
Support safe and efficient operating theatre services.
Assistwith patient transfers,positioningand preparation for surgery.
Prepare,maintainand troubleshoot theatre equipment asrequired.
Ensure operating theatres are appropriately stocked and set up for procedures.
Support infection prevention and safety practices within the operating suite.
Work collaboratively with nursing,medicaland allied health teams.
You'll have the opportunity to:

Develop your skills within complex and dynamic perioperative settings.
Contribute to a culture of patient safety,teamworkand continuous improvement.
About You
You are a proactive and adaptable Theatre Technician who thrives in a quick-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding patient-centred care.
To be successful, you will bring:
Demonstrated experience working as an Operating Theatre Technician.
Solid understanding of perioperative workflows and patient safety principles.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.




The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
The confidence to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Flexibility and adaptability within changing clinical environments.
A commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.
The physical capability to safely undertake patient handling,movingand positioning activitiesin accordance withMonashHealth policies and procedures.
Certificate III or IV in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support) or equivalent qualification.
Current WorkingWithChildren Check.
Current National Police Check.
Relevant visa with full Australian working rights (where applicable).
Experience working across multiple theatre specialties.
Experience within a large public health service.
Previousexposure to emergency,after-hoursor on-call theatre services.
