The Company Our client is a leading name in the materials handling industry, specialising in the design, installation, and service of dock levelling systems, scissor lifts, and freight hoists for major warehouses, transport companies, and retailers across the East Coast.

The Position This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Service Technician to join a growing service team in a preventative maintenance capacity.
You'll begin your days from home and will travel out to customer locations to carry out scheduled servicing and basic mechanical maintenance on dock equipment and lifting systems.
Key responsibilities include: Preventative maintenance and routine servicing of dock levellers, scissor lifts, and freight hoists Basic mechanical adjustments, inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs Identifying and reporting larger or more complex issues to trade-qualified technicians Working autonomously across customer sites once trained Completing service documentation and communicating clearly with the wider service team This role is Monday to Friday only , with no weekend work required , and overtime is paid when required.

We're open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including: Mechanical or maintenance assistants Service or maintenance technicians Workshop or field-based mechanical roles Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience To be successful, you will have: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance work The ability to work independently once trained A reliable and professional attitude A valid driver's licence No trade qualification is required - full training will be provided.
