THE POSITION
n
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage our production operations and drive operational excellence within our manufacturing facility.
n
Reporting to the Executive Manager - Operations, you will be responsible for production, assembly & kitting processes, ensuring operations run safely, efficiently and meet customer delivery requirements.
n
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
n
Lead and manage production teams to achieve production schedules, DIFOT, productivity, quality and cost targets.
n
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, including hazard identification, toolbox talks and corrective actions.
n
Manage labour planning, staffing and workforce development to ensure efficient use of resources.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiativesusing Lean principles to improve plant performance.
n
Monitor and manage operational KPIs to ensure production and quality targets are met.
n
Ensure compliance with companyquality, safety and environmental standards including ISO and IATF requirements.
n
THE PERSON
n
You are a motivated and approachable leader who enjoys working with people and creating a positive team environment. With a strong background in manufacturing operations, you bring the ability to lead teams, solve problems and drive improvements across production.
n




To be considered for this role, you would bring:
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in a production supervision or management role.
n
Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
n
Experience with ERP systems, production scheduling and work orders.
n
Sound knowledge of Work Health & Safety practices.
n
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
n
Tertiary qualification in engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline (preferred)
n
Familiarity with heavy truck or trailer industry (preferred).
n
