THE ROLE
ThePrincipal Practice Advisor–Child Protection,



will support the work of theVictorian child protection programvia the child protection focused functions andwork areas acrossthe Office of Skilled Practice(OPP).
The successful candidate willprogressportfolio and branch priorities led by theChief Practitioner andStatewide Principal Practitioners, including project work, stakeholder engagement,consultationand provision of subject matterexpertisefor materials.
The candidate will berequiredat times,toprovide advice to operational child protection areas on individual client matters, for children known to child protection and those in out-of-home care, asrequired.
Experience in the operational delivery of statutory child protection services is essential for this role, as well as strong understanding of the current operational landscapefor child protection and out of home care services.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Develop and implement projectswhich support the delivery of consistent andhigh qualitystatutory child practice in the Victorian statutory system led by DFFH.
Support the development and progression of the broaderdepartmental andbranch priorities of the OPP.
Provide child protection subject matter expertise in meetings, working groups, and contributing to written documents as requested, for internal and external stakeholders, as it relates to the DFFH child protection program.
