About the Chance
n
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Senior Finance Business Partner will serve as a strategic commercial advisor across key operating divisions. You will step beyond traditional accounting to bridge operational performance and long-term value creation, focusing heavily on capital allocation, contract profitability, and investment return.

This role moves away from standard FP&A; and monthly routine reporting. Operating in a high-tempo PE environment, you will actively partner with senior operational executives to rigorously evaluate major capital expenditure (CAPEX), scrutinize investment ROI, structure strategic businessmodels, and drive operational accountability across fast-tracked growth projects and business units.

What You'll Do

As a core member of the commercial finance team, you will drive operational performance, commercial intelligence,



and strategic planning across assigned business units.

Evaluating complex business cases and capital investment appraisals (CAPEX) to ensure optimal capital allocation and return on investment.
n
Partnering directly with senior operational leaders to challenge assumptions, steer commercial decisions, and maximize business unit profitability.
n
Own the end to end budget and forecast process of your division, working closes with operational, sales and commercial teams on driving accountability onexpectation vs reality.
n
Conducting rigorous deep-dive commercial analysis into operational cost structures, carrier procurement, and supplier contracts to optimize working capital.
n
Translating complex operational datasets, volume metrics, and capacity trends into clear, strategic commercial insights for leadership and PE board evaluation.
n
Identifying commercial risks and margin enhancement opportunities across operating units, establishing clear post-investment review protocols for major capital projects.

What You'll Bring
n
We are searching for a senior, commercially sharp finance leader who thrives in a high-momentum, PE-backed context. You bring senior gravitas, deep analytical rigour, and a proven ability to influence senior operational stakeholders without formal authority.
n

A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Economics, paired with CA or CPA accreditation.
n
Proven experience (7+ years) in a Senior Finance Business Partnering or Commercial Finance role, ideally within logistics, supply chain, transport, or industrial services.
n
Advanced capital investment modeling, CAPEX evaluation, and business case appraisal skills, with a track record of driving quantifiable ROI.
n
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of constructively challenging leadership to drive improved outcomes.
n
A proactive, hands-on mindset with the agility to manage competing priorities in a rapid execution environment.
