About the role:
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is at the forefront of influencing and developing high-quality, evidence-based nursing care. The CNE fosters cooperative interprofessional working relationships, facilitates a positive working environment for the professional development of all staff, and plans, coordinates and facilitates staff education, training and career development.
Key responsibilities:
Develop staff performance excellence by providing education, supervision, coaching and mentorship across all levels of expertise.
Maintain a high-visibility profile within relevant areas of the organisation and provide a clinical resource within the health service.
Act as a role model in setting clinical standards and achieving high-quality evidence-based nursing care.
About you:
To be considered for this role, applicants will:
Be a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse & Midwife with a postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care or equivalent.
Possess recent acute neonatal clinical skills with advanced clinical knowledge.
Demonstrate highly developed interpersonal communication skills including conflict resolution strategies.
Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary, nursing and education teams.
Have experience working in an education role and ideally possess or be working towards a postgraduate education qualification.
