The Opportunity

A growing Australian business is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to join the team in a broad, hands-on role that offers genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence business performance.

Initially offered as a 6-9 month contract, this position has a strong pathway to permanency. This opportunity will suit someone who enjoys operating across both the technical and commercial aspects of finance and is looking to take the next step towards a future finance leadership role.

Key Responsibilities
n

Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reporting
n
Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
n
Monitor financial performance and provide commercial insights
n
Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with internal processes
n
Support cash flow and balance sheet reconciliations
n
Assist with process improvements and finance transformation initiatives
n
Partner with stakeholders across the business to support operational decision-making
n
Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives
n

About You
n
n




CA or CPA qualification
n
Experience in a Senior Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar position
n
Strong management reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability
n
The ability to communicate financial information to non-finance stakeholders
n
A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills
n
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working across ERP and finance systems
n
Previous experience within a growing, dynamic organisation will be highly regarded
n
