Roles and Responsibilities

Check the quality and weight of raw materials and ingredients as per the recipe requirements and prepare a variety of doughs and batters.
n
Bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items, monitoring baking times, oven temperatures and product appearance and prepare pastry fillings.
n
Ensure products meet quality standards for taste, appearance, and texture.
n
Collaborate with other bakery staff to coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling processes for batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products to maintain consistency and quality and ensure productive production.
n
Safely operate bakery machinery and equipment, such as mixers, dough dividers, ovens, and slicers.
n
Regularly inspect and maintain bakery equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
n
Follow food safety guidelines,



including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
n
Clean workstations and equipment before production starts and after each shift, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the bakery.
n
Decorate, glaze, or fill bakery items as required to create appealing presentations.
n
Inspect baked goods for consistency in quality, shape, and size.
n
Monitor and manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders when necessary.
n
Keep records of daily production, waste, and ingredient usage.
n
Assist with customer orders and special requests, ensuring a positive customer experience

Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
