About the Opportunity
n
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team in a precision manufacturing environment producing specialist steel and metal components.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their career into a QA Manager role, with progression based on performance, capability and leadership development.

Working closely with the manufacturing team, you will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, supporting ISO compliance and ensuring products meet strict engineering and customer requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO **** requirements.
n
Assist with ISO accreditation and certification processes, including documentation, preparation and audit coordination.
n
Ensure ongoing compliance with customer, engineering and regulatory requirements.
n
Coordinate incoming, in-process and final product inspections.
n
Manage calibration schedules for micrometres, callipers, gauges and other measuring equipment.
n
Maintain accurate calibration and quality records.
n
Support Lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
n
Assist with supplier quality assurance and vendor performance monitoring.
n
Manage non-conforming products and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
n
Maintain controlled quality documentation and reporting.
n
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
n

About You
n
Ideally, you'll have experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment, with a strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes. Experience working with steel and metal components, including a sound understanding of metal characteristics, will be highly valued.

What You Will Bring
n
n
Proven experience in manufacturing, ideally within a precision engineering environment.
n
Familiarity with CNC machining, including mills and lathes.
n
Strong understanding of ISO **** and Quality Management Systems.
n
Experience using precision measuring equipment and managing calibration requirements.
n
Exposure to supplier quality assurance and vendor management.
n
Understanding of Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
n
Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions.
n
Excellent attention to detail with a methodical and structured approach to quality.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
A proactive, accountable and continuous improvement mindset.
n
Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related discipline.
n
Experience supporting ISO certification, audits or QMS implementation.
n
Previous experience in a CNC machining or precision manufacturing environment.
