We're seeking a
Herbicide Technician
to join our team, delivering vegetation management and weed control programs across roadsides, reserves, agricultural land and conservation areas.
This is a hands‐on outdoor role where you'll work both independently and within a supportive team, contributing to
environmental sustainability, public safety and community wellbeing
.
Key Responsibilities
Safely mix, prepare and apply herbicides using hand‐held, backpack and vehicle‐mounted spraying equipment
Identify invasive weed species and assess treatment requirements across a variety of sites
Maintain accurate spray records, treatment data and equipment logs
Conduct routine inspections, maintenance and calibration of spraying equipment
Ensure all activities comply with relevant
safety, environmental and legislative requirements




Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, landholders and other stakeholders to deliver effective vegetation management outcomes
About You
Current
ChemCert or ACUP accreditation
(or willingness to obtain)
Minimum
MR Driver Licence
(HR Licence highly regarded)
Experience in herbicide application, vegetation management, land management or a related field
Understanding of safe chemical handling practices and environmental compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with minimal supervision
A proactive,
safety-first mindset
and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physically fit, reliable and self‐motivated
