About the Surgery, Anaesthesia & Procedural Medicine department
About the role
Reporting to theDivisional Manager, Access, Planned Surgery & Endoscopy Services, this role combines personal assistance, unit administration, leave coordination and operational support across a diverse portfolio of surgical and procedural services.You will be responsible for helping ensure the smooth operation of key administrative functions.
A regular day will see you:
Provide high-level diary, meeting and administrative support to Divisional Managers.
Coordinate meetings, preparing agendas, distributing papers and recording minutes.
Act as a central point of contact for Divisional Managers, Heads of Unit, medical staff and key stakeholders.
Manage end-to-end medical staff leave processes and maintaining unit leave planners.
Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce administration activities.
Monitor mandatory training, performance review and other HR compliance requirements.
Process invoices, purchase orders and other financial administration functions.
About you
You are a cooperative and solutions-focused administrator with outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities confidently.
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
Experience in administration or personal assistance roles
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.




Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
Proven ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a complex healthcare environment.
