High Voltage Technical Lead - Projects & Estimating

The Opportunity:
n We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator & HV Technical Lead to join our team in a senior role combining electrical estimating, commercial leadership and HV technical expertise.
n You will play a key role in delivering competitive tenders while leading the development of HV protection, testing, commissioning, termination and maintenance capabilities across the business.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead electrical estimating, tender preparation, pricing and project handovers.
n
Analyse drawings, specifications and scope to develop accurate, competitive estimates.
n
Provide commercial input on margins, risks, value engineering and delivery strategies.
n
Develop and improve HV protection, testing, commissioning, termination and maintenance processes.
n
Provide technical leadership across protection relays, CT/VT testing, primary and secondary injection, cable testing and HV commissioning.
n
Ensure HV activities comply with the Victorian Electrical Safety Rules (Blue Book), AS ****, AS/NZS **** and network requirements.
n
Lead and mentor technical teams, supporting competency, training and authorisation pathways.
n
Coordinate HV maintenance, outages, protection upgrades, commissioning and defect rectification.




n
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors and support business development opportunities.
n
Drive safety, compliance, quality and continuous improvement across HV operations.
n

About You
n
You will be an experienced electrical professional with a strong background in electrical estimating and HV systems, ideally with experience across:
n
n
Electrical estimating and tendering.
n
HV protection, testing and commissioning.
n
Protection relays, CT/VT testing and primary/secondary injection.
n
HV cable terminations and cable testing.
n
Blue Book, AS **** and AS/NZS **** requirements.
n
Commercial pricing, project risk and subcontractor management.
n
Leading and developing technical teams.
n
n
Strong communication, commercial awareness and the ability to work across project, operational and technical teams are essential.
n
