Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineer to join a prestigious federal government client on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced data professionals to lead cutting-edge data solutions and make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.

Contract Duration: 12 months, with a potential extension of an additional 12 months
n
Work Week: 37.5 hours

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead the design, development, and optimization of data warehouse platforms
n
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to data teams
n
Drive data integration projects and ensure system performance
n
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop scalable data solutions
n
MS SQL / Teradata /Snowflake / Redshift / Databricks - Demonstrated competency in developing, auditing and reviewing code in 2 out of the 5 Data Warehouses listed.
n
High level of competency in Programming, including knowledge of supplementary programming languages such as Python, SAS, R or Java.
n
Strong expertise with SQL,
including experience with reverse-engineering end user SQL code.
n
Ability to read and interpret data models and specifications.
n
Ability to understand DevOps process and can use DevOps tools in accordance with the process.
n
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of version controls and its appropriate uses.
n
Minimum of 4 years in a similar role.
n
Exposure to AWS Cloud, AWS S3, AWS Glue or similar tools within the cloud environment.
n
Competency with required systems, software and programs, including SAS and Excel.
n
Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
n
Certifications in cloud platforms, data management, or related areas are advantageous
n
