At Amey, we're looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Planner to join our growing planning and environmental team. This is an opportunity to take a lead role on diverse projects, influence outcomes for clients and communities, mentor developing planners, and contribute to the continued growth of our business.

About the role
n
As a senior member of the team, you'll play a key role in delivering environmental and town planning projects from inception through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, stakeholders and project teams to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Preparing planning assessments, environmental reports and supporting studies.
n
Managing project budgets, schedules, resources and client relationships.
n
Providing technical guidance and reviewing the work of junior planners.
n
Supporting proposal development, fee estimates and tender submissions.
n
Building and maintaining strong stakeholder and client relationships.
n
Identifying opportunities for new work and contributing to business development initiatives.
n
Mentoring team members and helping strengthen capability across the planning discipline.
n

What we're looking for
n
Must-have experience:
n
n
A tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Environmental Planning or a related discipline.
n
At least 5 years' experience in a planning, environmental planning or project management role.
n
Strong knowledge of statutory, strategic and environmental planning frameworks.
n
Demonstrated project management experience, including budget and client management.
n
Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
n
A current driver's licence.
n
n
Nice to have:
n
n
Membership or registration with the Planning Institute of Australia (or the ability to obtain registration).
n
Existing professional networks across local government, development, infrastructure or environmental sectors.
n
Experience mentoring or leading planning professionals.
n
n
