Electrical Instrumentation Technicians – 6 Week Shutdown Broadmeadows | 6-Week Shutdown | Leading FMCG Manufacturer We are currently seeking experienced Electrical Instrumentation (E I) Technicians to join a major 6-week shutdown project with a leading FMCG manufacturing business based in Broadmeadows .
This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified electrical and instrumentation tradespeople looking for a solid shutdown project with a well-established and highly regarded FMCG manufacturer .
The Chance: You will be part of a large shutdown team responsible for the maintenance, inspection, testing, repair and recommissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment across the manufacturing site .
Instrumentation technicians will work across a range of process instrumentation and control equipment, including pressure, temperature, flow and level instruments, transmitters, control valves, actuators and associated control systems .
The project will involve planned shutdown maintenance, fault finding, testing, replacement of equipment and recommissioning as the plant is brought back online.
Duties may include: Calibration and testing of process instrumentation Testing and replacement of sensors, transmitters and switches Working on control valves, actuators and positioners Loop checking and signal testing Fault finding on 4–20mA and digital signals Electrical testing, repairs and terminations Working on motors, panels,



cabling and associated equipment Preventative and shutdown maintenance Isolation and LOTO procedures Recommissioning plant and equipment Completing maintenance and calibration documentation Working closely with other trades, supervisors and engineering teams What We're Looking For: We are seeking experienced tradespeople who are comfortable working in a shutdown environment and can hit the ground running.
Ideal candidates will have: Relevant Electrical or Instrumentation trade qualification Previous industrial maintenance or shutdown experience Experience with process instrumentation and control systems Strong fault-finding and testing capabilities Ability to read electrical/instrumentation drawings Strong safety awareness Ability to work effectively as part of a shutdown team FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, chemical, utilities or other process-industry experience highly regarded Why Take the Project?
