Our client is a well-established name within the luxury jewellery and pearl industry and is seeking a Pearl Grader to join their specialist Subiaco head office team.
This is a unique prospect for someone with a strong eye for detail, a genuine interest in jewellery and a highly methodical approach to work within a very specialised area of the business.
Working closely with the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for the grading, preparation and quality control of pearls throughout the production process.
Previous pearl experience is highly regarded, however we are also open to candidates from a diamond grading or broader jewellery background who bring a strong eye for detail, quality and consistency.
International pearl experience will also be considered, subject to full Australian working rights.
What will you be doing?
This is a hands-on and highly detailed role where no two pearls are necessarily the same.
Key Responsibilities: Assess and grade incoming pearl lots with a high level of precision and consistency Pair pearls based on size, colour, shape, lustre and overall quality Carefully select and prepare pearls for production, including marking and drilling Create and prepare pearl strands and bracelets ready for stock Undertake pearl rethreading,



polishing and finishing to a high standard Inspect finished and incoming product to ensure quality and presentation meet expectations Maintain accurate handling and organisation of pearl stock throughout the process Work closely with the Inventory Manager and wider team to support stock and production requirements Assist with sales, administration and logistics when required What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and enjoys working in a specialist environment where precision and attention to detail are critical .
You will ideally bring: Previous pearling and/or jewellery experience Pearl grading experience is highly desirable Diamond grading or relevant jewellery experience will also be considered Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure Strong organisation and time management skills The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team A hands-on, practical approach and willingness to support across the business when required A personable and approachable nature The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively Full Australian working rights Why this opportunity?
