Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead and manage all day-to-day manufacturing operations.
n
Develop and oversee production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
n
Manage Production Supervisors, sewing machinists, and production staff.
n
Monitor production KPIs, labour efficiency, quality, waste, and on-time delivery.
n
Ensure Sherrin's handcrafted footballs meet strict quality and workmanship standards.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, and minimise waste.
n
Manage staffing levels, recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
n
Coordinate with procurement, warehousing, sales, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.
n
Oversee inventory levels, raw materials, and production planning.
n
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), quality systems, and company policies.
n
Prepare production reports, forecasts,



budgets, and operational metrics for senior management.
n
Identify process improvements and implement Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
n

Key Skills & Experience
n
n
Proven experience as a Production Manager within a manufacturing environment.
n
Robust leadership experience managing supervisors and large production teams.
n
Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
n
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
n
Strong understanding of quality assurance systems.
n
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
n
Experience managing budgets, KPIs, and production reporting.
n
Proficient with ERP/MRP or production management systems.
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high quality standards.
