My client is a well-established boutique accounting firm, based in Frankston. The firm is led by an experienced Director, who previously worked at a Top-10 firm before establishing his own practice. The firm has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, hands-on accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base.

They have a flat structure and employ a team of experienced professionals, including 5 senior level staff, 6 support staff (3x bookkeepers and 3x admin) and 5 offshore (this is run by a former Melbourne-based staff member). The offshore team supports workflow and helps create capacity locally. The firm focuses on employing capable, experienced accountants who can work independently and maintain strong quality standards.

They offer a hands-on role where accountants manage client work from start to finish. They do not set formal productivity targets and instead prioritise the quality and accuracy of work. They also rotate work between team members to ensure fresh oversight and maintain high standards. On the rare occasion that any overtime is worked, that work is recognised and compensated. They currently use MYOB and are in the process of transitioning to cloud-based systems.

The ideal candidate will possess:
n
Minimum of 3 years' Business Services/Taxation experience
n
Completion (or near completion) of CA/CPA qualifications (advantageous but not essential)

Experience with clients across a variety of entity-types and industries
n
Strong communication skills and client facing abilities
