We're on the hunt for a Luxury Travel Consultant to join a leading premium travel business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced inbound travel consultant with deep knowledge of Australia and a passion for designing high-end, tailor-made experiences.
If you've worked in inbound travel consulting, have extensive personal and professional experience across Australia, and love creating unique itineraries that go beyond the mainstream, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be responsible for designing and selling luxury, tailor-made Australian holidays, working closely with international travel agents and clients to create exceptional experiences from enquiry through to travel.
Your day-to-day will include:
Designing high-end, tailor-made Australian itineraries based on each client's interests, preferences and travel styleUsing your deep knowledge of Australian destinations, regions and experiences to create unique and compelling itinerariesConsulting with international travel agents and clients to understand their requirements and translate them into exceptional travel experiencesPreparing detailed quotes, converting enquiries into bookings and maximising sales and upselling opportunitiesSelecting premium accommodation, experiences, tours, transfers and other travel servicesManaging enquiries via phone and email and providing a highly personalised level of serviceBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with Australian suppliers and travel partnersManaging client itineraries from initial enquiry through to travel and monitoring arrangements while clients are in AustraliaKeeping up to date with recent Australian destinations, luxury properties,



experiences and productsSharing destination knowledge, market intelligence and client feedback with the wider teamParticipating in an after-hours/on-call roster as requiredMaintaining accurate client and booking information across travel systems
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone with genuine inbound travel consulting experience and an exceptional knowledge of Australia.
You'll ideally have:
Deep Australian destination knowledge - you know the country's regions, destinations, accommodation and experiences beyond the obvious tourist hotspotsPrevious inbound travel consulting experience - experience designing and selling Australian holidays to international clients is highly desirableExtensive personal travel experience throughout AustraliaExperience within luxury, premium or tailor-made travelA strong sales orientation combined with a genuine customer-service mindsetCreativity and the ability to design unique, personalised itinerariesAn understanding of the B2B2C travel environment and working with international travel agentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding attention to detail and organisational skillsA proactive approach with strong problem-solving and lateral-thinking skillsA genuine passion for Australian travel and creating exceptional client experiences
