emerging material practices, circularity in design, adaptive reuse and environmental sustainability.
An understanding of the architectural design practice environment will be beneficial.RequirementsAbout the PersonThe successful applicant will, ideally, be an early- or mid-career researcher and educator who can demonstrate a track record of high-quality research publications (including NTROs) and impactful teaching and learning, with excellent student satisfaction.
The person will hold an accredited professional or terminal degree in Architecture and at least 1 year of teaching experience in an accredited architecture program.
They will have an architecturally relevant PhD or will be in the process of completing a PhD.
Professional experience with national or international recognition is highly valued.The architectural education at the Abedian School of Architecture is design-intensive and occurs in a energetic studio environment where the quality of the student's educational experience is paramount.
A successful applicant should demonstrate a distinct or emerging design pedagogy, including strategies and approaches through teaching activities.The applicant will actively participate in the School's vibrant design studio culture, discourse and experimentation through pedagogical and research-focused initiatives, including teaching sustainability in design and building science.
They will be a collaborative member of the Faculty's teaching and research community and play an instrumental role in developing a leading research culture at PhD level in the School.
The applicant should demonstrate service contributions at the institutional,
