Retail Manager – Exciting Retail and Dining DestinationsThe Retail Manager is responsible for management of a range of retail and commercial assets for the Golden Age Group including Sky One Plaza and the Sky Square in the heart of Box Hill retail core.Key responsibilitiesAct as the landlord's day-to-day representative for retailers; build solid, commercially productive relationships across the tenancy mixSupport leasing on renewals, new deals, rent commencement, trading obligations and lease complianceMonitor tenant trading performance, sales reporting, opening hours and trading covenants, and address underperformance or non-complianceManage arrears in conjunction with finance and legal, including negotiation and escalationEnsure compliance with the Retail Leases Act **** (Vic), Occupational Health and Safety Act **** (Vic), Building Act **** (Vic), Owners Corporations Act **** (Vic) and relevant planning permitsManage insurance claims, incidents and public liability mattersCoordinate owners corporation and shared-facility matters where the centre forms part of a mixed-use schemeWork with marketing to develop and deliver the centre marketing plan, campaigns and activations within the marketing fund budgetChampion centre presentation, customer amenity and community engagementManage relationships with the landlord/owner, council, utilities, adjoining occupiers,



car park operators and residential/commercial neighboursAbout youMinimum 5 years' experience in centre management, retail property management or a closely related asset management roleSound working knowledge of the Retail Leases Act **** (Vic) and Victorian commercial leasing practiceStrong understanding of OH&S;, essential safety measures and building compliance obligationsExcellent negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to hold a firm commercial position while maintaining relationshipsHighly organised, self-directed and comfortable managing competing priorities across operations, leasing and complianceTertiary qualification in property, business, commerce or a related discipline (desirable)About usGolden Age Group is a leading private property development and asset management group which has delivered landmark projects.
