About the Company:
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Australian retail organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to take ownership of a complex Australia and New Zealand payroll environment.
Working closely with the Head of Payroll & HRIS, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery while acting as a subject matter expert across awards, legislation and complex payroll matters.
About the Role:
Manage and review end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accurate and timely processingProcess complex payroll matters including terminations, ETPs, redundancies, executive pays and payment remediationManage key compliance requirements including Superannuation,



PAYG, Payroll Tax, STP and Workers CompensationAct as the escalation point for complex payroll queries, award interpretation and compliance mattersDrive continuous improvement through payroll projects, system enhancements, testing and process automation
Skills and Experience:
Comprehensive end-to-end payroll experience within a complex or high-volume environmentStrong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise AgreementsExperience with large payroll systems such as Dayforce, Chris21, SAP, PayGlobal, Workday or UKGStrong Excel, reconciliation and reporting skills with excellent attention to detailConfident, proactive and solutions-focused, with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skillsExperience processing Recent Zealand payroll is a benefit
