The Sydney Mechanical team is growing and is looking for an Associate-level engineer who wants to work on projects that are genuinely interesting and technically challenging.You'll Be Working Across Sectors IncludingDefence & secure facilitiesData Centres - including hyperscale projectsTransport - Sydney Metro and Sydney AirportSport & Entertainment - major stadium projectsHealthcare, life sciences and other specialist developmentsThere is also major work associated with upcoming stadium and Olympic-related projects in Brisbane, alongside ongoing airport and transport projects in Sydney.About The RoleThis is an Associate-level project role, with plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to take ownership of technically complex projects.You'll BeLeading mechanical design on major projects from concept through to deliveryWorking with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teamsProviding technical direction and mentoring to engineersManaging your own projects and taking responsibility for deliveryIdentifying opportunities with existing clients and helping turn good work into repeat businessWorking alongside some exceptionally technical engineers across the wider businessYou don't need to have worked on data centres, defence or transport projects already.




The right technical background is more important, and the team can develop the sector-specific knowledge.What They're Looking ForWe're particularly interested in Mechanical Engineers who have:Solid technical Building Services design experienceExperience working on complex or technically challenging projectsIdeally, experience within a Tier 1 consultancyA background in areas such as healthcare, hospitals, life sciences, defence, transport, data centres or other specialist projectsThe ability to take ownership and work with a good level of autonomyStrong client-facing and communication skillsThe commercial awareness to recognise opportunities and understand when to bring work back into the businessA genuine interest in producing high-quality technical workAustralian Citizenship is highly desirable due to the nature of some of the defence and data security projects, although it isn't an absolute requirement.Culture & progressionThis is a team that puts a big emphasis on technical excellence.You'll have access to a large network of specialists across different sectors, so there's plenty of technical support around you, but you'll also be trusted to get on with things rather than being micromanaged.The expectation isn't that you walk in and become a big BD machine on day one.
