We are driven by passion and purpose, and we never stop.About The RoleTeam Global Express is looking for a Same Day Operations Supervisor to join our Melbourne team in a permanent full-time role.This role is responsible for overseeing our Same Day operations across weekends and public holidays, ensuring our Premium Services freight is coordinated safely, efficiently and on time.You will provide day-to-day leadership to the operations team, coordinate urgent freight movements, manage operational issues and escalations, and ensure we continue to deliver a high level of service to our customers.What We OfferPermanent full-time positionWorking hours 10:00AM- 6:00PMSupportive team environmentCareer development opportunities within Team Global ExpressKey ResponsibilitiesSupervise the day-to-day Same Day operationsLead and support the operations team to ensure daily service requirements are achievedOversee Premium Services freight, including Same Day (Next Flight), Time Sensitive and H2H (Highly Monitored) consignmentsCoordinate and monitor urgent freight movements from booking through to deliveryManage daily workloads and ensure jobs are allocated appropriatelyMonitor operational performance and respond quickly to delays or service issuesManage customer and operational escalations and work with the team to resolve issuesEnsure customers receive timely and accurate updates regarding their freightLiaise with drivers and other operational teams to ensure service expectations are metEnsure Proof of Delivery and other required documentation is completed accuratelySupport the team with quotes, bookings and customer enquiries when requiredPromote a strong safety culture and ensure operational procedures are followedBuild positive working relationships with customers, drivers and internal stakeholdersAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you'll have:Previous experience in transport, logistics, freight or operational supervisionExperience leading or supervising a team in a fast-paced operational environmentStrong understanding of dispatch, freight movements and customer serviceStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to make decisions and manage operational issues independentlyStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressureGood computer skills and ability to learn operational systems quicklyStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsA hands-on approach and willingness to support the team when requiredWhy Join Team Global Express?
