With over 30 years of success, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering professional accounting and taxation services to small and medium-sized businesses across a broad range of industries.This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative team environment.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be responsible for:Preparing financial statements for small and medium-sized businesses across all entity typesPreparing and lodging income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs (where applicable)Reconciling Xero files and performing general bookkeeping dutiesPreparing and lodging quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS)Assisting clients with day-to-day accounting and taxation queriesLiaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)Maintaining accurate client records and assisting with general practice administration as requiredAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Minimum 1 years' experience in Business Services or Tax AccountingThis is a client-facing role,



so we're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with clients, and providing exceptional service — not just preparing accounts behind the scenesPrevious experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns across multiple entity typesExperience using Xero Practice Manager and Xero LedgerExperience preparing or assisting with Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) using BGL will be highly regardedExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional approachStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyThe ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple prioritiesA proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding client serviceThe OpportunitySalary package of $75,000–$90,000 plus superannuation, depending on experienceBased primarily at the Modbury office, with 1–2 days per week worked from the Prospect officeStandard office hoursOnsite parkingSupportive, team-oriented team environmentLong-established firm with a loyal client base and ongoing business growthOpportunity to further develop your skills across business services, taxation and SMSFs
