The village neighbours the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, is near Lady Davidson Private Hospital, and is a short drive to the North Turramurra golf course, bowling club, cafes and shops.
The Landings comprises 220 architecturally designed one, two and three -bedroom villas and apartments.
LDK creates a true sense of belonging, community, and vibrancy for residents through a variety of group activities and hospitality events.
On-site facilities include an arts and craft room, gymnasium and heated indoor pool.
The clubhouse amenities include The Hangar Cafe & Bar, a fireplace lounge area, a pool room, a dedicated theatre space, and a 200-seat function space.About the RoleThis is a visible, hands-on leadership role responsible for setting and maintaining high property, maintenance and asset management standards across The Landings.
The role leads the maintenance, gardens and cleaning teams, coordinates contractors and suppliers, and ensures preventative maintenance, compliance and improvement works are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to residents.
The successful person will be regularly out in the village, working alongside teams, inspecting work, solving issues, engaging with stakeholders and stepping in practically when required.Role Responsibilities:Lead, support and develop the maintenance,
gardens and cleaning teams to deliver a high standard of service, presentation and responsiveness across the villageMaintain a solid on-site presence, regularly walking the village, inspecting work, identifying issues and ensuring standards are consistently upheldWork alongside team members when required to resolve practical maintenance, property or service delivery issues in a timely mannerDevelop and implement asset management, lifecycle and preventative maintenance plans that support safe, compliant and well-presented village operationsCoordinate daily priorities, workforce planning, contractor activity and resources to ensure maintenance and improvement works are delivered effectivelyIdentify business improvement opportunities across property, maintenance, gardens and cleaning, including priorities, timing, budget and resources requiredDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures to support capital works, preventative maintenance, compliance checks and service delivery standardsPartner with teams across LDK to deliver system, process, service or property improvement initiatives from planning through to completionEnsure compliance checks are planned and completed for required equipment, facilities and property assets, including fire equipment, building requirements, warranties and equipment calibrationQualifications and ExperienceExperience leading maintenance, facilities, property services or similar operational teams in a hands-on environmentTertiary qualifications in building, project management, facilities management or a related discipline are desirableDemonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with practical,
day-to-day operational deliveryStrong knowledge of building maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, contractor management and compliance requirementsProven experience managing service delivery across large facilities, village, retirement living, hotels, resorts & hospitality or multi-service environmentsConfident leadership style with the ability to coach teams, set clear standards and build a positive service cultureStrong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skillsSound judgement, integrity, discretion and tact when dealing with residents, team members and confidential informationExperience delivering change, process improvement or operational improvement initiativesFirst Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtainOur Employee Value PropositionLDK villages have established a reputation of being 'truly happy places' for residents.
