Due to increased workload, an experienced Purchasing Officer is required to provide immediate support to the procurement team on a 3-month temporary contract.Your new role Reporting to the procurement team, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day purchasing activities and ensuring timely procurement of goods and services required for site operations.Key responsibilities include:Raising and processing purchase orders through JD Edwards (JDE)Managing supplier quotations and purchase requisitionsFollowing up suppliers on pricing,



delivery schedules and order statusMaintaining accurate purchasing records and documentationAssisting with inventory and materials procurement activitiesSupporting tender and quotation processes where requiredResolving invoice and purchase order discrepanciesLiaising with internal stakeholders across operations, maintenance and warehouse teamsEnsuring compliance with company procurement policies and proceduresWhat you'll need to succeedPrevious experience in a Purchasing Officer, Procurement Officer or Buyer roleStrong working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) is essentialExperience processing high-volume purchase ordersStrong administration and organisational skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent stakeholder and supplier communication skillsIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsExperience within mining, manufacturing, industrial, chemicals, energy or heavy industry environments will be highly regardedWhat you get in returnImmediate start opportunity3-month temporary contractCompetitive hourly rateOpportunity to work with a well-established WA industrial organisationKwinana location with onsite parkingSupportive and cooperative team environment
