Sapphire Support is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to guide our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) house — helping participants live the life they choose, with dignity, choice, and genuine independence at the centre of everything we do.
About the Role
This is more than a leadership role.
It's a chance to shape a team culture, mentor incredible support workers, and directly influence the everyday outcomes of the people we support.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Team Leader to shape a positive and supportive house culture and focus on building genuine, trusting relationships - consistency and familiarity matter deeply to our participants and their families.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading and supervising a rostered support team within a 24/7 SIL/SDA homeChampioning NDIS Practice Standards and embedding quality, safety, and compliance into daily practiceManaging the operational rhythm of the house — safety, documentation, incident management, and continuous improvementModelling person-centred practice and empowering your team to do the same
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader/ House Leader within disability, ideally in SIL/SDAExperience with behaviour support, manual handling, mobility support, and hoistingExperience providing personal careExperience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a teamStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational and problem-solving abilitiesConfidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 environmentAbility to create a calm and homely setting for participants and staff alikeCommitment to dignity, choice,

Qualifications & Requirements
Full Australian Working RightsCertificate III or IV in Aged, Disability Care, Individual Support or similar, or Nursing Qualificationsor equivalent qualificationsValid CPR and First Aid Certificates (HLTAID********)Current Driver's License and Comprehensive Car InsuranceNDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)NDIS Orientation ModuleWWCC (Blue Card) –preferred but not essentialAssist Clients with Medication Cert (HLTHPS006)
